Shipping & Returns
Last updated August 30, 2026
Everything we sell is printed for you after you order it — nothing is pulled off a shelf. That's what makes a one-off design for your team possible, and it's why this policy looks different from a normal store's.
If your order arrives defective, misprinted, or damaged, we fix it — a free reprint, or a refund where a reprint can't put it right. Either way you keep the original. You never ship anything back to us.
1. How long it takes
We ship inside the United States only.
Two stages: production, then transit. Production is the printing itself — typically 3–5 business days after your order clears review. Transit is the carrier getting it to you: standard shipping normally takes 3–7 business days once it leaves the facility. The exact shipping charge for your order is shown at checkout before you pay — it depends on the product and how many items you order, so there is no single per-item figure to quote here.
Those are typical ranges, not a guaranteed arrival date — once a package is with the carrier, the carrier's schedule is the one that governs. Custom printing is slower than stock merchandise, so if you need gear by a specific tournament date, order with room to spare, and email support@boardsideapparel.com first if the date is tight.
You'll get an email as soon as your order ships. Order status is also on your orders page.
2. If your design doesn't pass review
Every purchased design is checked by a person before it goes to print. If it doesn't pass — usually an intellectual-property problem or a print-quality issue — we cancel the order and refund you in full, automatically. You don't have to chase us for it, and we'll tell you what the problem was so you can adjust the design and try again.
3. If something's wrong with your order
Email support@boardsideapparel.com within 30 days of delivery with your order number and a photo of the problem. Nothing needs to be returned, and you keep the original either way.
A covered claim is put right with a free reprint. That's the default, it costs you nothing, and it's usually the fastest way to get you wearable gear.
We refund instead when a reprint can't fix the problem — the wrong product arrived, the garment itself is unusable, or we agree with you that a refund is the better outcome. A covered refund is the item price plus the shipping charged for that item, so you get back what you paid on that line. Stripe's processing fee is ours to eat, not yours.
This covers:
- Manufacturing defects — bad stitching, holes, peeling print.
- Print errors — the design is off-center, the wrong size, the wrong colors, or blurry compared to your approved preview.
- Damage in transit.
- The wrong item arriving.
A photo isn't us being difficult — it's how we get the print facility to fix the underlying problem instead of just reprinting the same defect. We may ask for additional photos, including the size label next to the print, and we work the claim with the facility that printed your item. We can decline a claim that doesn't match the order or that we can't verify.
4. What isn't covered
Because each item is made specifically for you, we can't accept returns or exchanges for:
- The wrong size or color, when that's what was selected at checkout. Check the size guide before ordering — this is the most common issue and the one we can't absorb.
- Changing your mind, or no longer wanting the design.
- Small color differences between your screen and the printed item. Screens are backlit and fabric isn't; some variation is normal and isn't a defect.
- Normal wear, or damage from washing against the care instructions.
- Claims made more than 30 days after delivery.
If you're unsure whether something counts, email us anyway. We'd rather look at a photo than have you assume the answer is no.
5. Canceling or changing an order
Email support@boardsideapparel.com as soon as you can. If your order hasn't entered production yet we can usually cancel it or fix the address, but that window is short — often a matter of hours. Once printing has started the item exists and can't be un-made, so we can't cancel it. We can't change a design after checkout; order the new version and ask us to cancel the old one.
6. Lost and undeliverable packages
If the package is marked delivered and isn't there, give it a couple of days — carriers frequently scan early — then email us and we'll open a claim and reship or refund.
If a package comes back to the print facility because the address was wrong or incomplete, we'll reship once you give us a corrected address; you cover the reshipping cost, since the item was printed correctly. Please double-check your address at checkout.
7. How refunds are issued
Refunds go back to the original payment method through Stripe. We issue them as soon as the claim is approved; how quickly it shows up is your bank's timeline, usually a few business days. If you paid with a card that's since been canceled, the refund still goes to that account — your bank forwards it.
8. California notice
If this policy is not available to you before you buy, California law may give you additional return rights. This page is the policy that applies when it is linked at checkout and in the site footer.
9. Starting a claim
Everything above starts the same way: email support@boardsideapparel.com with your order number, what went wrong, and a photo if there's something to see. This policy forms part of our Terms of Service.
